• Why is it necessary to open a account with PayCenter when I buy the "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard®?

    The "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® is a debit card and must therefore be linked to an account. When you purchase a "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard®, you will also receive an account with a german IBAN from PayCenter free of charge.

  • Can the "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® be linked to my own existing account?

    The "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® is a debit card. Therefore, the transactions are debited directly from the account. So the account must be held at the same institution that issues the card.

  • What do I need to be able to open a free account with PayCenter?

    In order to use the PayCenter account in conjunction with the "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard®, you must:• Be at least 18 years of age• Possess a valid identification document• Have a residence in Germany

  • How does the order / registration process work?

    First, you select a "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® option on the website. You will then be prompted to enter your name, email and address. After you have confirmed the entry with [Next], you then select your payment method. By clicking on [Order now] you trigger the order. Immediately afterwards, you will receive a confirmation email of the order, as well as an email from our banking partner for registration in the Payment Portal.

  • Credit check

    A credit check or Schufa inquiry is not carried out as part of the card order process. Proof of salary is also not required. The "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® is available to anyone.1 1 18+ and residence in Germany

  • Ordering period for the "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard®

    You will have your new "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® in your mailbox within three working days after you have successfully registered in the Payment Portal.1 1 Applies to 90% of all deliveries. Contact support (https://loverscard-faq.xpay.cards/hc/en-gb/requests/new) if you have any problems.

  • Data protection

  • When is my account active?

    After you have completed your order online, you will receive an email with the access data for the Payment Portal (https://portal.xpay.cards). After successfully logging in, you will first be asked to enter your individual password in order to be able to use the Payment Portal in the future. You will then be automatically guided through the KYC process (see the "Know Your Customer" section) to officially confirm your identity. Once this step has been successfully completed, you will be able to use the Payment Portal, but you will still need to wait for your "LoversCard“ Debit Mastercard® to arrive and then activate it. The declaration required for this will be sent to you together with the card. Likewise, you will receive an open notification for card activation in the login area under the menu item "Notifications". It also describes where you can enter the alphanumeric code for card activation. Once you enter the code, your card will be activated for payments. Your account is already activated for top-ups/ money receipts after successful identification.

  • How can I top up my account?

    You can top up your PayCenter account simply by transfer. Either from your own second account or from another person, e.g. through your employer for wage and salary payments. You can find the account details (IBAN, BIC) in your personal Payment Portal. You can also send money to your account by cash deposit, but since PayCenter does not run its own branches, this is only possible from external banks. A cash deposit may therefore be associated with additional costs. Please contact the counter of the relevant bank for this.

  • Can I overdraw my account?

    No, the account is managed on a deposit basis. Therefore, an overdraft is not permitted.

  • How long does it take to get credit on my account?

    It usually takes 1-2 banking days for the money to be credited to your account. (1 day processing time sender bank, 1 day processing PayCenter as the recipient bank).
